Make People Stronger Ltd (MPS) is a Uganda-based non-profit committed to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through sustainable education, health, and social impact initiatives.

Our approach
At Make People Stronger (MPS), we believe sustainable impact is achieved through strong, purpose-driven partnerships. Our approach brings together local school communities, community-based nonprofit organizations, and international collaborators to collectively organize resources, share knowledge, and empower communities for long-term sustainable transformation.
MPS serves as a bridge and coordinator — organizing financial resources, skills, learning materials, health support, and technical expertise from both local and international partners. We ensure that resources are strategically aligned with identified community priorities for maximum impact.
Volunteering
MPS provides opportunities for local and international volunteers to contribute their expertise in teaching, project development, resource mobilization, and community empowerment.This is more than just a volunteering opportunity — it's a way to really make a difference while getting to know a new culture and learning about Uganda. The program is very time flexible and includes work, travel, and cultural experiences.MPS takes care of everything during your stay, offering support, guidance, and on-the-ground help to make sure you're safe, comfortable, and have a meaningful experience from beginning to end.Come ready to give back, learn, connect, and explore.

Student Exchange Programs
Through initiatives such as the Be-Beyond Impact Program, MPS connects international students with Ugandan partner schools for structured educational and community-based engagement experiences. The program promotes global transformation awareness and includes travel to Uganda, where participants actively engage in meaningful initiatives within schools and local communities.This diverse program aims to increase awareness of the world we live in by combining community service, cultural exchange, and the opportunity to explore Uganda through guided tours — all designed to nurture informed, compassionate, and driven changemakers.

Volunteer
Get the opportunity to share your skills and make a meaningful impact through our volunteer programs. Available placements include environmental conservation, healthcare, education, community development, and more — all in partnership with trusted local nonprofit organizations. Your volunteer experience includes placement in a suitable project aligned with your skills and interests, comfortable accommodation, airport transfers, and full-time in-country support to ensure a safe, enriching, and rewarding stay. We also assist with intership placements.
School trips
This unique initiative expands students’ horizons by fostering an understanding of the interdependence of individuals, societies, and cultures.Through immersive experiences,students gain firsthand knowledge of global challenges and community resilience.The program involves a student's trip to Uganda to visit a non-profit school to participate in community projects coordinated by MPS. We invite the school director to partner with us in this exciting student-led exchange and impactful program.
Educate a child
Our partner schools and communities care for a number of orphaned and vulnerable children who require educational support. The “Educate a Child” initiative connects sponsors with a child in need, assisting with scholastic materials, school tuition, and other essential learning requirements.
community outreach
This initiative involves visiting local communities to identify, support, and participate in sustainable development projects. Through collaborative engagement, communities benefit from infrastructure improvements, livelihood enhancement initiatives, skills development programs, and improved water and sanitation.
The goal is to work alongside communities to implement practical, long-term solutions that strengthen resilience and promote self-reliance.
Playground construction
The best learning experience for students requires both indoor learning and outdoor physical activity. The kids need to experience unstructured play which helps support their physical health increasing their chances to succeed in the classroom.Become part of the wise kids' play by helping in playground construction and donating play items.
MPS Funeral Homes
Located in 3 hospitals, we offer free help that includes body handling and storage. We however have limited staff and resources to conduct our operations whereas our services are highly needed by our communities. Join us in organising resources and participating in our daily activities.
Rain water harvesting
Many rural schools and commnuities face water scarcity leading to late classes, poor hygiene, and poor sanitation, yielding life–threatening illnesses. Rainwater harvesting follows a simple, low-cost technique that is easy to maintain and offers many benefits to the schools.collaborate with us in orgnaising resourses towards the water harvesting initiatives.
special needs children
Uganda has very few organizations caring for children with special needs. Those that do exist are overwhelmed by the growing number of children brought to them, struggling to provide adequate care due to limited resources. As a result, many children are left with the care they need. Join us and participate in the children with special needs projects in Uganda.
